Energy Club WA is proud to celebrate Farhad Mobarra as the 2025 Member of the Year, recognising a professional whose dedication and influence have made a significant impact on both the Club and the broader energy sector in Western Australia.
Farhad, an Associate for Programme and Forensic Planning Analysis at TBH, has been a member of Energy Club WA for almost three years and has quickly become one of its most engaged and visible contributors. His commitment is evident in his consistent presence at industry events.
Reflecting on the recognition, Farhad said winning Member of the Year is a reminder of how powerful genuine connection and community can be.
“Professionally, it reinforces my commitment to contributing to a more collaborative, inclusive and future‑focused energy sector. I’ve always tried to lift others up, so being recognised by peers is truly an honour.”
Farhad has played a pivotal role in strengthening the partnership between TBH and Energy Club WA, opening new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
He also contributes to the Club’s Mentorship Programme, helping make connections across generations and disciplines. His empathetic and inclusive approach has helped many new members feel welcomed and empowered, embodying the spirit of connection that Energy Club WA strives to foster.
“In times like this, mentorship becomes more important than ever,” said Farhad. “It bridges experience with new perspectives, builds confidence, and keeps our industry inclusive and connected. I see it as essential for shaping the people who will lead WA’s energy transition.”
Within TBH, Farhad is widely recognised for delivering consistently high‑quality outcomes through transparent and structured processes. He specialises in claims and dispute resolution, planning and scheduling, and delay analysis for major projects. His expertise in schedule risk and extension of time (EOT) claims positions him as a trusted advisor in complex engineering environments.
Before joining TBH, Farhad spent more than a decade as Senior Program Governance at Western Power, overseeing planning and governance of major transmission line, substation and asset‑replacement programs. He led stakeholder engagement across multiple delivery arms, introduced improved planning and reporting processes, and developed tools that significantly increased maintenance delivery efficiency.
Farhad also serves as an Assistant Lecturer at Curtin University, delivering lectures and tutorials in Project Management and mentoring students on planning and project management principles.
“Some of my favourite work has been supporting community development projects through Curtin University initiatives in countries like India and Timor‑Leste,” Farhad explains. “Those experiences grounded me in the real impact that good planning and collaboration can have.”
A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Farhad actively promotes inclusive participation at Club events and within his workplace.
Farhad’s contributions are not only impactful today but firmly future‑focused. He is optimistic about the direction of the industry.
“WA has a unique opportunity to lead, not follow,” said Farhad. “We have the resources, talent, ambition and an increasingly collaborative and diverse industry. Being part of a sector where traditional expertise meets emerging technology is energising.”
His strong interest in data‑driven innovation including generative AI and machine learning for decision‑making, reflects Farhad’s commitment to leveraging technology for smarter, more resilient project outcomes.
Farhad Mobarra’s dedication, advocacy, collaborative nature and impact across the sector make him exceptionally deserving of the Energy Club WA Member of the Year Award. Energy Club WA congratulates Farhad once again on this well-earned recognition.
